 Ben BrandonBrandon, Ben

KOR Education School

What town were you born in? College Station, Texas

How long have you gone to A&M Church of Christ? My whole life

Church Activities: Middle School Retreat, Soul Link, Camp Cornerstone, Waco Mission Trip, High School Retreat, Winterfest, Uplift, Sunnybrook Mission Trip, Valentine's Luncheon, Illuminate, G1 Weekend, Trek

What are your plans for the future? Attend Abilene Christian University - majoring in Business Management

What memory of growing up in this church sticks out in your mind the most? One of my most prominent pre-youth group memories is my 6th Grade year of Mega Days and how it inspired me to be a Mega Days counselor!

What is your favorite youth group memory? Going to the lake with a lot of church friends one summer!

What is your favorite scripture? Why is it your favorite? My favorite verse is Nehemiah 9:31 because it assures me that no matter where I go, God will always be with me.

Who is your favorite Bible character? Why are they your favorite? Probably Solomon, because he just tells it how it is. He doesn’t flower things up, but instead just says things the way they happened!

Who has had the most influence on your in your spiritual growth? Definitely my parents. They have shown me relentless support and have loved me for me.

What have you learned during the Covid-19 quarantine and by school finishing earlier than expected? I learned that like actually GOING to school more than I thought I did!

How would you like others to see you (what do you hope they would say about you)? I hope people say I am a faithful follower of Christ who is a reliable friend in a time of trouble.

What will you always remember about going to church at A&M Church of Christ? I will always remember our missions Sunday every year when all the mission teams are highlighted. I will never forget the love for missions that this church has instilled in me.

One of the most important events in my life so far is...  Breaking my foot in the fall of my senior year. It helped me see my life through a new perspective, and I was able to reevaluate what I wanted to do in the future.

What are some ways you would like to serve God in your life? I would like to serve God in every aspect of my life!

The world would be a better place if: Everyone agreed that parks and rec, the office, friends, and Seinfeld are ALL the best instead of arguing which one is the best.

What would you like to say to the younger teens in the youth group?    Take your life slow, and remember to cherish the little things, because middle school and high school go by really fast.

What would you like to say/how would you express appreciation to your parents? Y’all are the best parents I could’ve asked for. Thank you for teaching me about life and faith because those are the 2 things that are most important that you taught me, along with many many other lessons I’ve learned over the years.

What would you like to say to God?  Wow! I have a lot of questions, but the main one is how are you so good to us? Thank you, thank you, thank you for blessing me in the ways that you did!

What would you like to say to our church family? You guys are the best! Thank you for mentoring me, teaching me, being there for me, and helping me grow into the man I am today! I have so many good memories of our church family, and I’m so thankful for each and every one of you!

What have you learned about God lately?  No matter the circumstance you’re in, he’s got your back. He will meet you wherever you are and will walk with you to wherever you want to be and then continue to stay right by your side till you meet him one day.
