Trek 2019 Forms and Info

Trek 2019 Forms and Info

We are so glad you are able to join us for Trek this year.  It's going to be pretty awesomely amazing.  But before the awesomely amazing stuff can happen we have to do...wait for it...PAPERWORK!  Yea.  Everyone who goes to Trek with us will need to complete the Registration Form and also get the Medical Form signed by a doctor.

The Medical Form is provided by Wilderness Expeditions (the people who run Trek) and no substitute forms may be used.  Again, just in case you missed it: no substitute forms may be used.  If you go to the doctor for any reason between now and Trek, take this form with you and get it signed.  If you do not have a reason to go to the doctor between now and July, you'll have to make an appointment to get this form filled out. We recommend you check around for a reasonable cost for this.  One suggestion is Caprock Urgent Care...they have said $25 is the cost to have a form like this signed.  Not Caprock ER but Caprock Urgent Care.  (You can find the Medical Release and and Registration Form below the pictures to the right.)

The Registration Form and Medical Form are due the week before we go to Trek.  They will be available on this webpage until then.

You will also see the Participant Handbook available below the pictures to the right.  This has information you'll want to know about Wilderness Trek/Wilderness Expeditions and also has a packing list and some other helpful information.  Please look at it and start thinking about what you might want to buy before Trek.

You can also see links to the Pre-Trek Bible Study, Scripture Memorization Form and the Service Hours Form on the right.  We will have a meeting (or send you a video link to the info we would share at a meeting) sometime in the future.  At that meeting we will share information with you about packing, extra things you might want to bring, things you  might not need, etc.  If you have any questions before or after that meeting, feel free to talk to Monty or Heather anytime.

Service Hours and Pre-Trek Bible Study

Before going to Trek, all students are asked to complete 10 service hours and a two-part Bible study.

Service hours can be earned by doing anything voluntarily in the community, at school, at church, or for a neighbor.  Service hours can not be earned for doing things for your mom or dad or grandparents.

For the two-part Bible study, you will find the first part on the Bible App on a smart phone.  (if you do not have access to a smart phone, let us know and we will provide an alternate way)  The Bible study is called "How Teens P.R.A.Y.  Using the Bible App, start the plan, and go through the plan.  You are not required to do it over a 4-day period, but rather, whatever schedule works best for you.

The second part is to watch the video of Ephesians from the Bible Project, and read the book of Ephesians.  Here is the address for the video and the Bible text: https://thebibleproject.com/explore/ephesians/
